The Lungau region, in the sunny south of SalzburgerLand, offers ski-touring fans perfect conditions and tours featuring all levels of difficulty. Which is why such destinations as the Niedere Tauern, the Twengertal, the area around Zederhaus – to name but a few – enjoy such popularity amongst tourers.

Extreme tours have been consciously omitted from the Lungau Ski-Touring Guide. We wish to take beginners, but also experienced ski tourers to areas in which they can experience the glorious mountain world of the Lungau without facing major risks. The necessary equipment can be procured locally (including rental options).
